Amigurumi Pattern | Sanrio Sugar Bunnies

Hello Sugar Bunnies!

Okay, honestly, I'm not really a big fan of cute rabbit stuff like this. But I was entering for some kind of contest in deviantArt so I made these two. They are actually some characters from Sanrio (who produces Hello Kitty). And since it's Valentine in a month time, why not do something that represents a couple right?

White Patch on Body (for brown bunny)
I don't really remember the exact counts, but it's just a square piece I made from white yarn.
It's almost the same as the white patch on the face, except it does not have inc or dec. I also sc around the square to make it tidier.

After you've crocheted all the piece out, it's time to assemble it!
The following pictures are taken when I was making the brown one. If you're making the white bunny, it's basically the same except you don't have to make and sew the white patches on the body and face. Instead, you use pink yarn to embroider the details in broken lines around the body and face. And also cut the ribbon piece and glue it on it's neck.

Sew body, legs, and arms

Sew in broken lines around the side using pink yarn and embroidery needles.

Double knot the excess, trim and tuck it into the body to hide it.

Add details to the ears.

Use wire/pipe cleaner and bend it into the ear shape. Insert it in and sew to secure the wire/pipe cleaner with excess brown yarn from the ears.

Insert and sew ears onto head. Make sure it's a little slanted like this --- / \

Cut a piece of light pink felt that follows the ear shape but slightly smaller and glue them on. Bend the ears
Use brush to make the white part fuzzy. (Optional)
Finally, sew the face using black embroidery thread or black yarn.

And there you go.

    1. I used the brush to make the white part of the brown bunny fuzzy just to give it an effect. It is optional though. :)
